Harri's Live Broadcast Mix!

Someone once said to me "you really like Broadcast" and this was true. To show this appreciation I put together a compilation of some of my favorite live material (mostly FM or Soundboard quality) of theirs and thought I'd share it. Broadcast brings a lot of spazzy synth energy to their live performances especially for the first decade (this mix covers from '96 to '05). Anyway, enjoy! [ATP = All Tomorrow's Parties.]

Sarah Juice's 60s Dylan Mix!

Sarah Juice has this to say about the mix:
This is the dreaded Dylan Mix. Well... Part One of the dreaded Dylan Mix. The catalogue is too big and he changes styles, voices, and even religions throughout the now 50 years he's been recording, so I decided to break it down into the 1960s, 1970s, and then 1989-2010.

Part One: 1960's. Dylan started off the 60's with folk and protest songs. I didn't include any protest songs here cos you'd all hate that stuff, but you know a lot of them already: Blowin in The Wind, Times They Are a Changin, etc. So from folk we go straight into rock. The bulk of the mix is this mid 60's golden era of Dylan's rock phase, but at the tail end we cover his brief country phase. In between are some of his most popular hits and some other stuff you may never have heard, or heard from other artists. I'd say enjoy, but I'm not stupid enough to think you will. So: Good luck!

Ah, Autumn so nice. Perfect weather if you ask me. A bunch of this new Office Chart mix comes from the huge Ninja Tune XX box set (mostly unreleased material) and the picture above = Ninja. I'm willing to bet these songs will be showing up in many office charts to come.

Kevin Shields Outside Projects Mix!

AKA, my Non-My Bloody Valentine Kevin Shields Proper Mix, or whatever you want to call it. Basically, a bunch of tunes I like that Shields either produced, played on, or remixed that all share elements of his "style," that wall of sound thing, right. A lot of these bands I'm not the biggest fan of but, when KS starts messing around with them, it can turn into a favorite. These are mostly loud though there are a few softer tracks to change the mood. Anyway, enjoy!
01 - Le Volume Courbe - I Shall Skip Your Judgement (KS guitar +) - 2:44
02 - Primal Scream - Acc*l*rator (KS production) - 3:41
03 - The Little Rabbits - La Piscine (KS remix) - 6:01
04 - Dot Allison - Message Personnel (KS guitar +) - 6:25
05 - J Mascis & The Fog - More Light (KS production) - 5:17
06 - Primal Scream - Shoor Speed Kill Light (KS production) - 5:19
07 - Curve - Coming Up Roses (KS remix) - 6:21
08 - The Pastels - Cycle (KS remix) - 6:39
09 - Yo La Tengo - Autumn Sweater (KS remix) - 8:38
10 - Primal Scream - City (KS production) - 3:22
11 - Placebo - Pure Morning (KS remix) - 3:57
12 - Le Volume Courbe - I Love The Living You (KS guitar +) - 3:23
13 - Primal Scream - MBV Arkestra If They Move Kill'em (KS production) - 6:41
14 - O'Neill - Spook (KS / Leftfield collaboration ?) - 4:07
15 - Mogwai - Mogwai Fear Satan (KS remix) - 16:10
16 - The Frank & Walters - Take Me Through This Life (KS remix) - 5:46

whew! that was a long mix. I blame Mogwai, but really I couldn't leave it off (it's epic). I do want to ask a favor though, if anyone reading this can please help me find his remix of Sinc, by Mercedes (from this compilation). Thanks! Warning: mix probably not safe for iTunes

Listening party planned for SATURDAY OCT. 23rd @ 7PM EST / MIDNIGHT BST!

Fradleybox's 2010 Instrumental Mix!

Here's what fradleybox said:
I don't make any grand, egotistical claims like this is the "best of" instrumental music in the past year. They aren't the best instrumental albums of the year, either. Many of the albums these tracks come from are not themselves entirely instrumental. It is, however, a damn nice mix of some of the best instrumental tracks I've heard this year, and I hope you end up getting into one of these artists because you like their track.

so, download the mix here and enjoy

As many of you may have noticed a lot of the Office Chart Mixes produced over the last year have been from twitterer pukirocks, so I just want to take this moment to give them a special bit of recognition along with a disgustingly sentimental image hotlink that will hopefully be taken down or broken before too many people see it!
